Implementing a new financing program or updating an older one typically
sounds simpler in theory than it is in application. While there are a
number of vendors that provide packages for managing the leasing and
financing value chain, it is extremely rare to locate a perfect fit
between the company’s specific needs and an existing commercially
available solution. Closing the gap between these packages and the
detailed requirements suited to your business can vary from a small custom
modification all the way to a completely new application. Kawaru Research
helps clients find and implement the right solution by looking at the
entire picture – existing and planned systems, staffing, business
processes and the issues facing your market. Our focus is to ensure that
clients receive a complete package in terms of the right technology and
process mix – not an addition to an existing collection of other
applications and duties. |

Robert Hinderliter
Robert’s initial background in the financial services industry provided a
solid base for his subsequent career in IT services and the consulting
industries. Throughout this 18 year period, Robert has progressed through
numerous roles that have led him to becoming a hands-on subject matter expert in
project management as well as financial program structuring and implementations.
Recent highlights from Robert’s broad based experience include:
 |
Led the gathering and documentation of detail business requirements for
various projects that created systems for specialized leasing and
securitization needs of companies. Other responsibilities included:
process modeling; financial modeling; and
leading system quality assurance. |
 |
Developed a quoting and deal analysis tool for deployment to field sales
representatives. While user friendly, this tool can accept minimal inputs and
generate a menu of financing options as well as generate a budgetary quote in
under five minutes – saving precious time for the representative to focus
on customer needs. |
 |
Managed the implementation of a lease program offering that provides
usage-based pricing so that the client can provide additional financing
alternatives to its target market. The primary focus areas for this initiative
were financial modeling, pricing analysis and strategy, process flow design,
directing the price engine testing and post implementation support. |

|
 |
Pricing and profitability analysis for various IT outsourcing proposals
with total contract values ranging from $5 million to $43 million. |
 |
Designed the key process and settlement flows for a partnership of
multiple corporations proposing to provide converged communications services and
billings to all of the State of Georgia’s departments and agencies (estimated
contract value of $1.8 billion). |
 |
Led the business design for creating a new securitization and investor
reporting system that manages the entire asset-backed financing lifecycle from
portfolio selection to investor reporting and eventual liquidation. |
 |
Managed the accounting, analysis and investor reporting for a unique
financing structure that was developed to accommodate private label
origination, funding and servicing of automotive leases on behalf of a
qualifying special purpose entity (QSPE). |
Prior to these recent responsibilities, Robert enjoyed his work in preparing
SEC filings, developing internal control programs and operational auditing.
Robert is certified in Financial Management (CFM) and management accounting
(CMA) in addition to holding a Master of Science in Administration (MSA) from
